slowly approaching
with his sense of stealth
heading around
in a circular fashion
much as a plane landing
in Los Angeles on Labor Day

the pace is quickened
as the radar kicks in
runway ahead ignites a faint humming

buzz that tower
the mighty jets of
the space shuttle
are defeaned and ignored
ounce for ounce by
the airborne assault

and soon lands the fly
